The Survival Guides Story
Survival Guides was founded in the Scottish Highlands by experienced professionals with decades of service in Mountain Rescue, Deer Management, Mountain Leadership, Close Protection and Survival Instruction.
Based at our Glencoe Base Camp, we deliver practical, experience-led training and specialist field services across some of Britain's most challenging landscapes. Our approach is grounded in prevention before cure — understanding the environment, making sound decisions under pressure, and working with nature rather than against it.
We are not an adventure tourism company. We are practitioners who share our expertise through immersive, hands-on experiences that build genuine competence and confidence in the outdoors.

Glencoe Base Camp
Our base of operations sits in the heart of Glencoe — one of Scotland's most spectacular and demanding mountain environments. From here we have immediate access to some of the finest training terrain in the British Isles.
Glen Coe's mountains, moorland, rivers and coastline provide the perfect classroom for everything we teach — from survival skills and navigation to deer management and remote access operations.
